Bunaken Cha Cha Nature Resort is located on the peaceful eastern side of Bunaken Island, within Bunaken National Marine Park in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The resort is approximately a one-hour boat ride from Calaca Harbour in Manado, North Sulawesi, and about a one-hour walk from Bunaken Village.It offers a tranquil, nature-filled escape in one of the world’s most celebrated coral reef destinations.

Self-Arranged Transportation to Bunaken Cha Cha You are welcome to arrange your own transportation from Manado to Bunaken Cha Cha. However, as our resort is located in a remote area on the eastern side of Bunaken Island, please carefully consider the following information before making your arrangements.1. Private Boat Transfer The easiest way to reach Cha Cha is by boat directly from Manado to our beachfront. You may be able to arrange a private boat through local operators around Manado Harbor (Calaca) or Rap-Rap. However, boat availability and departure possibilities may depend on tides, sea conditions, and local arrangements, particularly at Rap-Rap. Please note that Bahowo is mainly used by boats that have been arranged in advance by individual resorts. Therefore, it may be difficult to find a boat available for private hire on arrival, unlike a regular taxi service. We do not recommend going to Bahowo without a confirmed boat arrangement. If you arrange a private boat yourselves, please make sure that the boat operator knows our exact location and agrees to take you directly to Bunaken Cha Cha, not simply to Bunaken Village.2. Public Boat to Bunaken Village Public boats usually depart from Manado Harbor (Calaca) in the afternoon, approximately between 14:30 and 15:00, although departure times may vary and it's not operate every day. Please note that these boats normally arrive at Bunaken Village, not at Bunaken Cha Cha. From Bunaken Village, our resort is approximately one hour away on foot. The route includes a forest path, which can become muddy and slippery, especially during or after rainfall. We generally do not recommend walking this route with luggage. Alternatively, you may negotiate with local boat operators or local transport providers for onward transportation. If you would like us to assist in arranging a local boat from Bunaken Village to Cha Cha, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance. This service is subject to availability and additional charges, which will be confirmed before arranging the boat.3. Wet Landing Please note that there is no jetty at Bunaken Cha Cha. All guests arriving by boat must make a wet landing directly onto our beachfront, which means your feet and lower legs may get wet. We recommend wearing shorts and sandals or other suitable footwear.4. Check-in Time & Early Arrival Fee Our regular check-in time is 14:30 (2:30 PM). If you arrange your own transportation and arrive at Cha Cha before 14:30, an Early Arrival Fee of USD 15 per person will apply, regardless of whether your room is ready or used. Early access to your room is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please inform us of your expected arrival time at least 48 hours in advance so that we can make the necessary preparations. If you wish to have a optional lunch(IDR150,000 per person per meal) at Cha Cha, please send us a request and confirmation at least 48 hours in advance (There is no supermarket on tihs island). 5. Important Information All boat transportation is subject to weather, sea conditions, tides, and daylight hours. For safety reasons, boat transfers after dark are not possible. Please also note that Bunaken Cha Cha cannot guarantee or take responsibility for the schedules, availability, prices, or arrangements of transportation services booked independently by guests. We kindly recommend confirming all transportation details directly with your chosen boat operator before travelling.If you decide to arrange your own transportation, please kindly let us know your expected arrival time and whether you will arrive directly at Cha Cha or via Bunaken Village.
